Miller Construction Specialists is a construction company founded on basic principles and strong values. Our dedication to helping our client realize their vision is surpassed only by our commitment to integrity in craftsmanship. We understand that building a home is based upon trust between client, builder and the sub-contractor. We will ensure that Miller is the right builder for our client by establishing trust and a solid relationship of respect and integrity. We focus on being a selective builder that will always provide the maximum amount of attention on our clients. As a result, we will limit our number of clients to ensure a hands on experience for the clients. We will advocate fairly for both our clients and our subs. The products we create with our clients will be worthy of putting the Miller family name on. We will be fair when giving a price to our clients, and with making an honest profit. President

Over 15 years of Construction Management Experience. Has successfully overseen the construction of 300 residences. Has development, design and construction experience with custom residential and multi-family developments. Has built several commercial buildings and also managed numerous remodels, tenant improvement jobs, and professional buildings.

Over 40 years of construction and project management experience.

  • Has been involved in the development and construction of over 300 homes.
  • Designed and constructed numerous residences, restorations, office and professional buildings, remodels and large-scale commercial projects.
  • Developed and coordinated a nationwide restaurant expansion program.
  • Designed and implemented effective budgeting and tracking techniques.
  • Negotiated liaison contracts with banks, architectural firms, engineering companies and suppliers.
  • Created an entire corporate construction department.

Has successfully owned and operated his own construction management company in the State of Utah. Has constructed many residences including the development of two subdivisions. Has also managed and constructed numerous remodels and light commercial projects.


Associated Host of CA. A Marriott Company (1989-93)

Director of Construction and Facilities

Responsible for all aspects of design and construction for many commercial jobs. Coordinated and directed architects, designers, engineers, and contractors for various new and remodel projects. Supervised all repair and maintenance programs on company restaurants and hotels.


Host International, INC. A Marriott Company, Santa Monica, CA (1986-89)

Director of Design Services/ Project Manager

Presented and developed design concepts and architectural drawings and supervised construction on a national level. Prepared cost estimates, feasibility packages and construction timetables. Hired contractors, architects, and consultants. Planned, scheduled, and conducted pre-design and on-site meetings with executive committee, administrative and operations personnel, and consultants.


Director of Design and Construction, Spoons Restaurants. Inc.

Established and managed a nationwide expansion program involving site selection development, plans and specifications, bidding contracts, and supervision of all construction projects for Spoons Restaurant, Inc. Established an architectural network, prototype plans, remodel plans, and specifications for major projects. Developed sites, construction, and plans on 15 additional projects.


Director of Construction of Stuart Anderson Black Angus Restaurants

Responsible for all financial aspects of construction, from initial cost estimates to working with architects, bidding procedures, letting of construction contracts, tracking costs and forecasting expenses.


Mountain West Construction, Inc., Salem, OR (1977-82)

President/Owner Operator

Was involved in light commercial construction and remodeling with a primary emphasis in large custom homes. As Owner, Mr. Miller built a prestigious corporate image through the construction of homes built on the foundation of integrity and exceedingly high quality. Annual sales exceeded 1.5 million per year.

US Army National Guard (1998 to Present)

Staff Sargeant

Currently serving as the Senior Chaplain Assistant and primary Master Resilience Trainer for the 19th SPECIAL FORCES Group. Also worked as Utah National Guard Resilience Coordinator and NCO Academy Small Group Leader (Instructor) for 640th Regional Training Institute. Two overseas deployments including Operation Iraqi Freedom. Also trained as Mechanic and Geospatial Engineer (Map making, Terrain Analysis). Recipient of over 12 individual medals including the Joint Service Commendation Medal. Earned several awards and certifications including Paratrooper, Instructor Certifications and German “Schützenschnur” award (Gold Level). Consistently rated “Among the best/Excellent” levels in annual Leadership Evaluations (NCOER).


Diamond Ranch Academy & Cross Creek Programs (2008 to 2012)

Head Youth Development Supervisor

Responsible for Teaching, Mentoring and Monitoring of “At-Risk” teenage residents in a Therapeutic Youth Facilities.
